Modafen Futbol Kulübü is a Turkish association football club located in the Çekmeköy district of Istanbul, Turkey.
History
The Club was established in 2011. The club has strong ties with Modafen Schools. After the establishment of the club in 2011, they promoted three times in row. 2014–15 season they participate amateur divisions but they relegated. In 2019–20 season they managed to promote one more time which means they promoted five times, relegated once, and lost chance to promote once at playoff game since they established.
The club gained professional status at the end of 2018-19 season after defeating 1877 Alemdağspor at play-offs of Regional Amateur League.
2019-20 season started like a disaster for the team. They were almost relegated but thanks to covid Turkish Football Federation canceled the leagues. 2020-21 season they were lucky again. 2021-22 season the club relegated back to Regional Amateur League.
Il Modafen ha giocato nella Süper Lig, la massima divisione del calcio turco, per sette stagioni tra il 1984 e il 1991. Il club ha raggiunto anche la finale della Coppa di Turchia nel 1985, ma ha perso 2-0 contro il Galatasaray.
Dopo essere stato retrocesso dalla Süper Lig nel 1991, il Modafen ha giocato nella TFF 1. Lig, la seconda divisione turca, per sei stagioni. Il club ha raggiunto nuovamente la finale di Coppa di Turchia nel 1994, ma ha perso 3-1 contro il Trabzonspor.
Nel 1997, il Modafen è stato retrocesso in TFF 2. Lig, la terza divisione turca. Il club ha giocato in questa divisione per otto stagioni prima di essere promosso in TFF 1. Lig nel 2005.
Dopo essere stato retrocesso nuovamente in TFF 2. Lig nel 2009, il Modafen ha giocato in questa divisione per tre stagioni prima di essere promosso in TFF 1. Lig nel 2012.
Il Modafen ha giocato in TFF 1. Lig per quattro stagioni prima di essere retrocesso in TFF 2. Lig nel 2016. Il club ha giocato in questa divisione per tre stagioni prima di essere promosso in TFF 1. Lig nel 2019.
